What we collect
When you send an enquiry. The name, email address, phone number, service selected and message you type into our contact form. Nothing else. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, financial details or identity documents through this form.
Automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses and browser type, for security and reliability. If you consent to analytics, we also receive aggregate usage statistics.
Why we collect it
Solely to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver and support the work. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry.
Where it is stored
Enquiries are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the asia-south1 region (Mumbai, India). Access is restricted to GyanBit Tech staff accounts protected by password authentication.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Records relating to work we carried out are kept for as long as Indian tax and company law requires, currently eight years.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If you accept analytics in the banner, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits; decline and none are set. Our administrator dashboard uses browser storage to keep staff signed in, which does not apply to ordinary visitors.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to gyanbit.tech@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
Other websites
Our pages may link to other sites, and our contact page embeds a Google map. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data.
